i got a daugther that is getting married in one month she is 29 and i know she can do better but5 its her life and i would not interfear. He's the ONLY man in my life who didn't actually attempt having sex with me. BUT, when my son was 19 dating a 17 year old, I nagged him to death. The states all vary in punishment and Age of Majority, this is pretty close to accurate ~ some interesting laws on gay/lesbian age of consent, why it's different than the rest of us I have NO clue.

I'm curious about the opinions of parents (would they have a problem with a 17 year old dating a 20 year old? Dude are you serious i have a 17 year old daughter i would beat you with a bat.Of course, certain activities constitute statutory rape in certain places, and that can present a major problem. Two other comments: I see nothing wrong with dating someone you work with. None of them had a problem with me and her being together.Love is hard to find; no need to make it harder by setting a lot of silly rules about who is off-limits. Which was good, as they were a very close family, on her mom's side. But the age, when its fairly close, doesn't seem like it'd be a big deal.I really don't see why my being 20 would make you want to kill me. (and feel free to use this gauge for the rest of your life).Would I be thrilled, naw...would I be upset, not really. If she improves you as a person, and you do the same for her..I'm not just talking between the two of you but those strange outward manifestations where parents say things like "she's really good for him..has a new sense of purpose, he's more aware of the consequences of his actions", etc., then I'd say it's a good thing. Mine, OTOH, had 2 issues...one, they felt like she was too incredible looking (damn close to a 10) and two, socially her family had an incredible case of red-neck-itis (mom didn't tell me this part until a few years later).
